Position Summary
Coalfire is seeking a Technical Editor who is highly skilled at reviewing and providing constructive, corrective feedback on customer-facing documentation. This role is a great opportunity to support the Quality team, make a tangible impact, and contribute to the success of client projects. The Technical Editor reports to the Manager, Quality Assurance (QA) and is responsible for conducting quality reviews of Coalfire deliverables within the scope of the Quality Management System (QMS).
What You’ll Do
  • Conduct quality control (QC) reviews of customer-facing and internal documents, focusing on consistency, clarity, and conciseness across at least two verticals
  • Ensure deliverables follow standard templates, align with Coalfire brand guidelines, and comply with Coalfire policies, processes, and guidance
  • Maintain consistent template usage
  • Complete QC checks for each customer-facing document reviewed
  • Identify and document risks and issues for further analysis
  • Properly file work records and revision history, including the reviewed document, checklist, and template
What You’ll Bring
  • 0–2 years of experience in technical writing or technical editing of documentation and reports
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with a variety of people
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on available information
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet customer deadlines
Bonus Points
  • Experience with or knowledge of FedRAMP, SOC, ISO, or HIPAA is preferred, but not required
$49,000 – $81,000 per year
The salary range provided is a reasonable estimate based on national salary averages. The final salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications, and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
