We are looking for a bilingual (English/Japanese) Customer Support Representative to manage our clients’ calls and chat messages every day. As a Customer Support Representative, you will be the first point of contact for clients who call to request service information or to follow up on an existing project. The ideal candidate has experience in customer support and service, a bilingual background, and knowledge of language and translation.
Job Description:
– Respond to chat messages, phone calls, and emails from external clients promptly and thoroughly
– Inform clients about interpreting, translation, and localization pricing and procedures, as well as other services offered by Day Translations
– Process incoming leads and assist Project Managers in defining project scope
– Update clients on the current status of ongoing projects
– Forward chat/phone information and messages to the appropriate departments
– Record activity in tracking systems and communicate actively with team members to confirm task completion
– Follow all applicable policies and procedures
– Complete documentation and other related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
– Proven experience in customer support or customer service
– Ability to handle inbound calls throughout your entire shift
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (native or C1) and fluency in Japanese. Additional languages are a plus
– Knowledge of the translation industry is a plus, but not required
– Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills
– Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions
