Piton Labs is hiring a dedicated Business Development Representative to help us take the next step in our expansion. As the first person in this role, you’ll play a key part in driving growth: expanding our customer base and building new strategic partnerships. We strongly prefer candidates in the GMT‑8 time zone (US West Coast) rather than GMT‑3, though we’re open to other time zones on a case-by-case basis.
**Responsibilities and expectations**
You’ll take part in the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—with support from our founding team. While deep technical knowledge isn’t required, a basic understanding of software development and the tech industry will help you communicate our value more clearly to prospective customers.
Your main responsibilities include:
– Identifying and reaching out to new prospects
– Representing Piton Labs in meetings, industry events, and trade shows
– Developing and executing sales strategies for our core markets (startups and corporate/enterprise innovation)
– Partnering with the engineering team to communicate customer insights and requirements
– Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through regular communication
– Delivering product demos and presentations to show how our solutions solve customer problems
**About you**
You’re proactive, have solid business development experience, and naturally build and maintain relationships. You’ll stand out because:
– **You take ownership:** you want to lead the full process and help drive company growth
– **You’re great at building relationships:** you can form alliances and turn contacts into customers
– **You think strategically:** you understand market dynamics and can position our technology effectively
– **You have enough technical awareness:** you may not be an engineer, but you understand the digital landscape well enough to clearly communicate our value
If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk.
**General requirements**
– Native or fluent English
– 4+ years of experience in business development, ideally in a technical environment
– Proven track record of results in developing new business
**Remote work policy**
– Fully remote, with no physical office
– Preference for candidates in the United States with work authorization
– Secondary consideration for candidates from Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
– Ability to overlap with US Eastern Standard Time by 4–6 hours on most working days
– Ideal for digital nomads—no fixed location required
**Why join us**
– Competitive base salary + unlimited commissions
– Four weeks of paid annual vacation
– Fully remote work
– Excellent work-life balance, with no weekend requirements—even while working with a fast-growing startup
If you’re excited to help drive our growth and believe you can make a real impact, get in touch—we’d be happy to chat.
