We are seeking an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Specialist who will help enhance EHR systems that support Aledade’s partner practices in improving patient care, lowering costs, and increasing efficiency. This role works closely with practice stakeholders and Aledade’s multidisciplinary team to identify, design, and implement EHR solutions aligned with key ACO goals. The Specialist will also help collect practice-generated data for population health analytics.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in at least one major ambulatory EHR system and a strong understanding of clinical workflows. This person should thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and be an effective communicator. Candidates may work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities include:
Leading EHR optimization for assigned projects:
• Coordinate assessments of current EHR use and identify opportunities to improve systems in support of ACO initiatives
• Help practices maximize their existing EHR or third‑party tools
• Support adoption of technology that delivers point‑of‑care population health insights
• Assist with MIPS compliance
Providing EHR expertise:
• Recommend templates or custom reports to support key activities such as Medicare Wellness Visits, Transitions of Care, Advance Care Planning, and risk coding
• Develop or source educational materials to help practice staff use their EHR more effectively
• Stay informed about EHR vendor updates related to population health
• Build and support EHR‑specific user groups within Aledade’s ACO network
• Offer strategic guidance on how EHR optimization can advance ACO goals
Facilitating data exchange:
• Help practices accurately capture data in their EHR to support quality reporting
• Ensure practices can share their data with Aledade
• Contribute to developing interfaces and functionality that support Aledade’s work
Project management:
• Independently manage multiple projects, delivering Aledade tools and training practice teams on value‑based, patient‑focused workflows
• Communicate project status clearly to internal and external partners
• Present to leaders and frontline staff to drive adoption of best practices
• Deliver clear, detailed training on complex topics to diverse stakeholders
Minimum qualifications:
• 4–6 years of client‑facing project leadership experience in healthcare, with a proven record of enhancing EHR systems and relationships
• Hands-on implementation or optimization experience with leading ambulatory EHR and practice management systems, ideally Epic Ambulatory, NextGen, Athena, Greenway, or eClinicalWorks
Preferred skills and attributes:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant relevant experience may substitute
• Strong relationship‑building, organizational, project management, analytical, and communication skills
• Self‑motivated and willing to learn new EHR platforms and workflows
• Results‑oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast‑moving environment
