Hello, I’m Marc Stockman, co-founder and CEO of Metabolic Living, and I need your help. Our $60M+ metabolic optimization business—fully remote—has grown 300% over the past three years. As a result, it’s become harder for me to keep up with what matters most: honoring commitments, nurturing our culture, and building an outstanding team.

So I’m looking for a highly talented, trustworthy, organized, detail-obsessed, assertive, and scrappy **Executive Assistant to the CEO**. This role is not about managing my travel schedule—it’s about creating a scalable “CEO system” that can grow with us.

Together, we’ll design, build, and run a system for the CEO’s office that helps me (and any future CEO) operate as efficiently and effectively as possible in a fast-growth, sometimes ambiguous environment. This is a unique opportunity for an energetic, tech-savvy, dependable EA to use their creative problem-solving to build something genuinely interesting. The system you create will serve as a template to onboard more EAs who will support additional C-level and VP-level leaders. You’ll also be empowered to recruit, train, and develop that EA team as needed.

**Key Points**
– **Compensation:** $100k–$125k + Bonus
– **Location:** 100% Remote (a virtual team of 150+ with no corporate office)
– **Benefits:** Health/Dental/Vision/Disability/Life + strong 401k + Unlimited PTO
– **Hours:** 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern (to standardize our team rhythm)
– **Culture:** Human-first, with high-performing, happy, humble people (no jerks)
– **Personality Fit:** You’re deeply focused on details so we can simplify complexity for others

**What the Ideal EA Is Like**
I’m looking for an experienced veteran or a standout emerging candidate who has previously supported a CEO or another C-level/VP executive. You’ve “been there, done that,” and you’re eager to apply what you’ve seen work—while avoiding the pitfalls that can derail executives. You enjoy bringing structure to chaos, building repeatable systems that scale, and checking things off your to-do list. You’re proactive about improving habits and constantly optimizing your workflow and routines.

You’re highly trustworthy and handle sensitive information appropriately. You consistently make sound judgments, communicate professionally while still being engaging and personable, and others naturally want to work with you. You’re deeply passionate about health and wellness and spend real time optimizing your own health. Most importantly, you’re reading this thinking the timing is perfect—and you’re excited to apply right away.

**My Story**
I’m not a typical corporate CEO. I’ve worked remotely since 1999, building one startup after another, with multiple successful exits. But I haven’t run a company at this scale and level of ambition before, so I’m learning in real time—thrilling and challenging at once. Working from home has given me the time and structure to succeed while also being present for my wife and kids.

However, becoming a billion-dollar brand by 2025 means we must think creatively about how to scale a 100% remote organization to support that goal. There’s no proven roadmap—very few companies have done this—so that’s the fun part.

**What It’s Like Working With Me**
I’m driven, fair, highly open, and I hold myself and others to high standards. I expect everyone I work with to do their homework and stay one step ahead. I work best with people who can anticipate issues almost instinctively and solve them proactively. My biggest challenges are taking on too much, delegating too slowly, and finding time for the small things that truly matter to others.

I’m ambitious and love building. I process information quickly and prefer working with people who move at the same pace. I enjoy developing talent, building systems, and optimizing processes—especially when paired with the right tools and technology to create a well-tuned operation. I also love working with people who are genuinely excited about the nerdy details.

I’m intensely focused on improving my health and optimizing my metabolism. I try things first, then share what works. I buy lots of gadgets, test different approaches, and constantly look for the next change that improves results by another 1%. It’s an ongoing optimization process that’s genuinely addictive. I feel fortunate to do what I love while building a business that supports 200+ people and their families. And there’s no way to describe the satisfaction of helping millions reach their health goals in a way that’s sustainable.

**Our Culture**
We take high performance seriously, which is why our culture is built around deep work. That protects uninterrupted time to deliver consistently high-quality work. Real collaboration and transparency keep everyone aligned and eliminate office politics. We’ve implemented:
– A standardized 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern schedule to protect personal and family time
– No standing meetings before 1 p.m. Eastern to give you four hours of real deep work time
– Daily huddles and weekly check-ins to brainstorm, align on priorities, and remove bottlenecks
– No meetings during the first week of each month to build momentum for the month ahead

**Who We Are and What Makes Us Different**
Our mission is simple: make living healthy **easier** than living unhealthy. We do that through **MetabolicOS**, an integrated ecosystem of offerings that helps people optimize their metabolism to feel, look, and perform their best—and live longer. It combines exercise, nutrition, coaching, habit change, supplements, and functional foods into one unified experience that systematically removes obstacles to better health.

We’re different in three major ways:
– **Metabolism-Focused:** After 11 years of trial and error with 500k+ people, we’ve found that optimizing metabolism drives the results people want most. Most people don’t give their metabolism what it needs. Once you do, it returns the energy you need to thrive.
– **Truly Individualized:** Paleo may work for one person, vegan for another, keto for someone else, and so on. Real results that last require respecting differences. If we ignore them, things backfire. Our approach is 100% customized to the individual—there’s no “perfect program” you simply follow; it must be built for you. That’s why one-size-fits-all solutions fail.
– **Integrated Ecosystem:** Living healthy is hard when solutions are scattered. Great individual options exist, but they’re not connected—so people end up stitching everything together, which creates confusion. We simplify by weaving everything needed to optimize metabolism into an integrated suite.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
– **Build the CEO Office System:** Create the systems and processes that make me as efficient and effective as possible, and serve as a template for rolling out to EAs supporting other executives.
– **Handle Email and Manage the Calendar:** Sort emails into actionable categories by urgency and importance, prioritize my focus, and plan the calendar 2–3 quarters in advance.
– **Deliver Nice Gestures:** Proactively create thoughtful surprise-and-delight moments for direct reports and important company milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, births, etc.).
– **Lead Special Projects:** Own one-off, ad-hoc projects—initial research, action plan, and either deliver outcomes directly or significantly reduce the time needed for me to do so.
– **Track Accountability:** Attend key meetings, record decisions and action items, and ensure follow-through by both me and others.
– **Proactive Networking:** Connect with other CEOs and experts to set up informal sessions with me for best-practice sharing and ongoing network growth.
– **Manage LinkedIn:** Reply as needed to important messages and/or flag items that require my personal attention—aiming to respond kindly to everyone, one way or another.

**Requirements**
– **5+ years of EA experience:** Supporting CEOs and/or C-level/VP executives, with a true understanding and appreciation of how the role enables executive success.
– **Trustworthiness**
– **Strong written and verbal communication**
– **Proven ability to consistently deliver** with both assertiveness and collaborative people skills
– **Excellent judgment** developed through preparation and considering all parts of the puzzle
– **Proactive problem-solving** and anticipation
– **Organizational systems mindset** plus the discipline to run them daily
– **Fast, meticulous research ability** and the capability to learn quickly and communicate learnings effectively
– **Tech fluency** (Office 365, Teams, SharePoint), plus the ability to learn new tools easily—especially those supporting remote work

**Benefits**
– 100% Work From Home (Forever)
– Unlimited Paid Time Off
– Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental, Vision)
– Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
– Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
– Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
– Short- and Long-Term Disability
– Free health products from the company
– Additional benefits added regularly
