About the Position
The People Operations Generalist plays a critical role in delivering a consistent, high-quality employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. This role operates at the intersection of service, systems, and compliance — ensuring our people processes run smoothly while supporting employees and managers with clarity, responsiveness, and sound judgment.
As a core member of the People team, the Generalist manages day-to-day operations including onboarding, people data management, policy guidance, and office support. They are a key executor on our systems, processes and policies, and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary administrator for Workday, including data integrity, system updates, reporting, workflow management, and user support
- Manage immigration processes in partnership with external counsel, including documentation tracking, compliance monitoring, and employee communication
- Oversee end-to-end onboarding operations, including I-9 compliance, background checks, new hire communications, scheduling, and coordination with department leaders to ensure effective functional onboarding
- Coordinate logistics and operational support for in-office and remote events, quarterly on-sites, leadership quarterly meetings, and annual company summits and other major people-related events
- Maintain and update COOP (Continuity of Operations Plan) documentation to ensure organizational readiness
- Manage employee access logistics, including key card ordering and coordination with facilities (e.g., gym access)
- Execute on our employee recognition programs
- Support with office management – inventory ordering and stocking, general office requests as needed.
- Manage TravelPerk – our travel platform.
- Support Talent Acquisition team with administrative tasks that may range from scheduling and coordination to support with job descriptions and postings.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to commute to our office in Watertown, MA 2-3 days a week
- Interest in People Operations or related field, HR experience a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfort level handling confidential or sensitive information
- Ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to synthesize data at a high level
- Systems thinker – experience with WorkDay or similar HRIS platform preferred
$55,000 – $75,000 a year
