We are a small, established, and profitable technology company providing onlineexam software to customers in over 25 countries. We are looking for a part time, remote Oracle DBA to help us manage our database.

We are running Oracle 12c Standard Edition on RHEL 7.1

You have 5 – 10 years experience working as a DBA in a Linux environment Responsibilities:

• Experience with all aspects of Oracle database administration

• Installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, performance tuning

• Backup & recovery

• Evaluating patch releases and communicating constraints, issues, and timelines for deployment

• Proactive database monitoring and issue resolution.

• Provide technical assistance and promotions to developers for database related code and connectivity

• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux OS, storage and networking

• Shell scripting experience

• Willing to work after hours in case of emergency (down database)

Excellent communications skills and fluent English are essential.
