At iMumz, we support parents through the exciting yet demanding early stages of parenthood. As a Parenting Coach, you will be essential to our mission by providing new parents with the support and guidance they need—helping them nurture their newborn’s development through structured coaching sessions and informative educational resources.

Responsibilities

  • Support Parents: Provide compassionate guidance by listening to parents, offering practical advice, and encouraging them as they manage the challenges of newborn care.
  • Structured Coaching Sessions: Deliver personalised coaching by video or phone, addressing specific concerns, setting goals, and creating practical action plans.
  • Answering Questions: Respond quickly and effectively to parents’ questions through multiple communication channels, ensuring accurate information and reassurance.
  • Brain Development Activities: Teach parents about early brain development and recommend interactive activities to build newborns’ cognitive and sensory skills.
  • Follow-ups and Ongoing Education: Hold regular follow-up sessions to track progress and continue educating parents on key aspects of child development.
  • Positive Discipline and Gentle Parenting: Help parents develop strategies for positive discipline and gentle parenting, creating a supportive environment while establishing healthy boundaries.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with colleagues to strengthen the iMumz program and ensure a coordinated approach to parent support.
  • Creative Planning: Develop and apply creative ideas that enhance the parental experience, creating tailored resources and activities for new parents.
  • Scheduling and Session Notes: Efficiently manage session bookings and keep detailed notes to document progress and next steps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in parenting coaching or child psychology are highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in early childhood education, pediatric care, or a similar area.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with a wide range of clients.
  • Proven ability to counsel effectively, supported by strong skills in adapting communication.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning, with a genuine interest in staying informed about the latest child development research and practices.
