The Vida Medical Assistant reviews and routes inquiries from various communication channels to support the efficiency of our prescribing services. MAs provide ongoing assistance to ensure timely, high-quality care for our members.
Responsibilities:
• Assist medical providers by reviewing and responding to provider chat messages.
• Route messages to the appropriate teams when necessary.
• Research and resolve provider escalations from Member Support, Quality Assurance, and the Prior Authorization team.
• Manage the exception process for restricted medications with PBM partners.
• Complete prior authorization forms and address related issues and escalations.
• Collaborate with all providers on a member’s care team.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA at all times.
• Follow department policies and procedures.
• Stay current on Vida training and communications.
• Accurately document work hours using the correct ADP pay codes.
• Adhere to Vida’s QA and compliance standards to ensure a consistent, safe member experience.
• Communicate using Vida’s provider platform and templates.
• Use cloud tools such as Slack, Google Suite, and Zoom efficiently.
• Work within the scope defined by Vida’s clinical guidelines.
• Follow all Vida policies and consents related to member services.
Requirements:
• Availability during Vida business hours: Monday–Friday 8 AM–8 PM and Saturday/Sunday 8 AM–12 PM, based on the MA’s time zone.
• One year of experience working at Vida.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in a medical office, clinic, or telehealth environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with utilization management policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with telehealth technology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to provide 40 hours of weekly availability.
