We’re expanding our world-class Audiobooks Editorial team and are looking for a Senior Editor to lead programming across Latin America. In this role, you’ll connect compelling stories with the right moods, moments, and audiences across Spanish-language storefronts—and, ideally, support the Brazilian Portuguese market as well. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams and publishing houses to drive culturally relevant discovery and meaningful listening experiences.
What you’ll do:
– Lead and execute the editorial strategy for audiobooks across Spanish-language markets in Latin America, with support for Brazil as needed
– Drive discovery by identifying and amplifying titles, authors, narrators, and genres that resonate across Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Brazil
– Oversee ongoing programming updates, merchandising, and testing to improve storefront performance
– Create and maintain editorial calendars aligned with regional cultural moments, publishing schedules, and cross-functional initiatives
– Collaborate with Growth, Marketing, PR, Product, Engineering, and Operations to strengthen audiobooks presence during key moments
– Build and maintain strong relationships with publishers to stay ahead of upcoming releases and catalog priorities
– Assess titles objectively and make programming decisions based on audience relevance, cultural impact, and business context
– Use research, cultural insights, and data to continuously refine discovery strategies
– Use AI-powered tools and data systems to improve workflow efficiency and identify trends, while applying strong editorial judgment to preserve quality and nuance
Who you are:
– 5+ years of editorial and/or merchandising experience at a digital-first platform, publishing house, or major books retailer
– Strong knowledge of the Latin American publishing landscape, especially Spanish-language markets
– Fluent in Spanish and English
– Professional proficiency in Portuguese, or strong familiarity with Brazil’s publishing ecosystem
– Skilled at turning cultural moments and trends into engaging editorial programming
– Experienced working directly with digital content and storefront merchandising
– Comfortable collaborating in publisher-focused environments while keeping audience needs at the center
– Able to draw on both qualitative insights and quantitative data to guide programming decisions
– Curious about AI tools and able to use them thoughtfully to scale impact without replacing editorial expertise
– Deeply passionate about books and the evolution of audio and spoken-word storytelling
– Clear communicator, highly organized, and effective in collaborative, fast-paced settings
Where you’ll be:
– This role is based in Mexico City
– You can work where you perform best within these locations, as long as we have a registered work location
