Piton Labs is hiring a Business Development Specialist to support our next phase of growth. As the first person in this role, you’ll help expand our customer base and create new strategic partnerships. We prefer candidates based in time zones between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, but we may consider other locations depending on the situation.
**Responsibilities and Expectations**
You will help manage the full sales cycle, from the first outreach to closing deals, working alongside our founding team. While you don’t need deep technical expertise, a solid understanding of software development and the technology industry will help you communicate the value of our solutions clearly.
Key responsibilities include:
– Finding and contacting new prospective customers
– Representing Piton Labs at meetings, events, and conferences
– Creating and executing targeted sales strategies for our core markets (startups and corporate innovation)
– Partnering with the engineering team to capture customer needs and generate market insights
– Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
– Giving demos and practical walkthroughs that show how our solutions solve customer challenges
**About You**
You are results-oriented and experienced in business development. You build relationships naturally and grow them over time. You’ll be especially strong if you have:
– **Initiative:** drive to lead the process end to end and support company growth
– **Relationship Building:** ability to attract partners and convert knowledge into customers
– **Strategic Thinking:** awareness of market trends and where to position our technologies
– **Technical Awareness:** not necessarily an engineer, but you understand the digital landscape well enough to explain our solutions’ value clearly

**General Requirements**
– Near-native English proficiency
– 4+ years of business development experience, ideally in the technology sector
– Demonstrated success in acquiring new customers
**Remote Work**
– Fully remote, with no required office location
– Preferred: candidates in the United States with work authorization
– Next preference: candidates from Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
– Ability to overlap 4–6 hours most days with US Eastern Time
