Piton Labs is looking for a dedicated and reliable Business Development Representative to help drive the company’s next phase of growth. As the first person in this role, you will play a key part in expanding our customer base and building strategic partnerships. We strongly prefer candidates located in time zones GMT-8 to GMT-3 (covering the U.S. West Coast), though other locations may be considered case by case.
### Responsibilities and expectations
You will participate in the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing—with strong support from the founding team. While deep technical expertise isn’t required, having knowledge of software development and familiarity with the tech industry will help you clearly communicate the value of our solutions to prospective customers.
Your main responsibilities include:
– Prospecting and contacting new leads
– Representing Piton Labs in meetings, industry events, and conferences
– Developing and executing a sales strategy focused on our target markets (startups and corporate innovation teams)
– Collaborating with the engineering team to share customer feedback and needs
– Maintaining and strengthening customer relationships through ongoing communication
– Running demos and presentations to explain how our solutions help solve customer challenges
### About you
You are proactive and motivated, with a solid background in business development and a natural ability to build and maintain relationships. What sets you apart is that you:
– Take ownership: you want to lead the entire process and contribute to company growth
– Build and grow relationships well: you know how to strengthen partnerships and turn your network into customers
– Think strategically: you understand market dynamics and can position our technical value effectively
– Understand the tech ecosystem: even if you’re not an engineer, you know enough about digital and technology ecosystems to explain our value clearly
If this sounds like you, we’d love to discuss it with you.
### Basic requirements
– Native-level English
– 4+ years of experience in business development, ideally within the tech industry
– Proven experience successfully developing new business
### Remote work policy
– Fully remote, no physical office
– Preference for candidates with work authorization in the United States
– Candidates from Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay are considered as a secondary option
– Most workdays must overlap by 4 to 6 hours with the U.S. East Coast time zone
– Ideal for digital nomads without a fixed workplace
### Why join us
– Competitive compensation with base salary and uncapped commission
– Four weeks of paid time off
– Full remote work
– Great work-life balance—working with a fast-growing startup without extra weekend hours
