The Podcast & Video Analytics team sits within Spotify’s Content Analytics organisation and closely partners with teams across Podcast, Video, Product, Engineering, and Content to shape the future of creator-led experiences on Spotify. The team’s mission is to enable strategic decision-making through best-in-class analytics, helping Spotify understand audience behaviour, content performance, and emerging viewing and listening trends across podcast and video formats.

Working at the intersection of data science, content strategy, and technology, the team builds scalable measurement approaches, uncovers actionable insights, and develops new analytical methods using AI and advanced modelling. By turning complex data into clear stories and practical recommendations, the team helps Spotify keep innovating and leading in the fast-changing Podcast & Video space.

What you’ll do:
– Serve as a key analytics partner to Podcast & Video teams, delivering deep-dive research and insights that guide long-term, data-driven programming and product roadmaps.
– Spot new trends in podcast listening and video consumption, identifying opportunities in priority markets to keep Spotify’s strategy ahead.
– Turn complex datasets into scalable, actionable playbooks that help global content and product teams execute high-impact strategies.
– Create measurement frameworks using causal inference, experimentation, and modelling to quantify the incremental effects of Podcast & Video content and product choices.
– Develop and refine AI-enabled dashboards and data visualisations to make Podcast & Video data easier and more intuitive for stakeholders across the business.
– Use AI tools, including LLMs and agentic coding assistants, to automate analytical workflows, speed up insight generation, and explore new possibilities in data storytelling.
– Convert analysis results into compelling narratives that help align Product, Engineering, and Content stakeholders.
– Collect stakeholder input to understand their needs and translate them into clear data requirements, deliverables, documentation, and shared knowledge within the team.

Who you are:
– You have a degree in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
– You have 1+ years of experience in data analysis or data science, including:
– Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, and early experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
– Experience creating data visualisations and dashboards; familiarity with AI-assisted or code-based charting approaches (e.g., D3.js) is a plus.
– Experience with A/B testing and statistical modelling.
– A proven ability to integrate AI and LLM tools into your data science workflow, whether for analysis, automating repeatable work, or building intelligent data products.
– You communicate confidently and can connect subjective or creative discussions to objective data.
– You can turn data into clear, business-relevant strategy.
– You’re enthusiastic about podcasts, video, and creator-driven content; experience in audio, video, or other creative industries is a plus.
– You are based in New York and comfortable regularly collaborating across multiple US and European timezones.

Where you’ll be:
– This role is based in New York.
– You can work flexibly—there will be some in-person meetings, but you can still work from home.

Salary range: $108,097 – $135,121 per year.
