Lyra Netherlands specializes in Employee Assistance and Workforce Mental Health programs. We support employees, managers, self-employed individuals, and their family members through coaching, counselling, therapy, and first-line advice, including legal and financial guidance. Your role
As a senior coach/counsellor, you conduct telephone intakes and guide (complex) coaching and counselling trajectories. You help clients address personal and work-related issues, with the aim of improving their wellbeing and functioning. You also contribute to the team’s growth through mentoring and peer consultation.

  • Telephone intakes and coaching/counselling conversations (online, by phone, and sometimes in person)
  • Providing telephone services (between 9:00 and 17:00, according to a roster)
  • Case management and advising on referrals to the network
  • Peer consultation and mentoring for colleagues and network partners
  • Participating in the chat box on agreed days
  • Active involvement in the daily short work meeting and the weekly team meeting

Who are we looking for?

Must-haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in psychology, counselling, social work, or a comparable field
  • Several years of work experience with a wide range of issues
  • A stable, open personality with a sense of humor
  • Results-oriented and to the point
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Living in the province of Utrecht

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multiple methodologies
  • Ability to switch smoothly between therapy forms and coaching models
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, MBCT)
  • Expertise in topics such as burnout & stress, trauma, and neurodiversity
  • Using humor and creativity without losing depth
  • Experience working with different cultures, ages, and backgrounds
  • Experience in the business world
