Corbel Property Management oversees condominium buildings in New York City. Corbel handles the buildings’ finances, insurance, and legal/governing frameworks.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an “Assistant Admin” who will be trained to become a “Property Manager.” No previous property management experience is required. In this Assistant Admin role, you will directly communicate with clients and other admin professionals to gather, organize, and process information (financial, legal, etc.). You must be a native English speaker and comfortable with basic math. This is a full-time position from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST (New York City time). For more details, see the Job Description.
GATHERING INFO
Collect personal, equipment, and financial information for forms and documentation via email, phone, text, and photo documentation. Key skills: ask questions assertively and proactively, and identify gaps in information.
ORGANIZING INFO
Accurately enter information into the correct Google Doc or spreadsheet using a neat, logical, professional format. Key skills: enjoy documenting and organizing clearly for ease of use.
PROCESSING INFO
Ensure all information entered on forms, spreadsheets, etc., is accurate. Key skills: use checklists, double-check your work, notice patterns that suggest errors, and investigate thoroughly.

HOURS & PAY
Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (NYC time)
Hours: 30–40 hours per week; any variation must be approved with your supervisor
Pay range: $2,000 to $2,500 per month
TASKS IN DETAIL
You don’t need to know how to do any of the items below—you just need to be trainable.
1. Insurance renewals: Help the insurance company gather information, complete forms, and submit details related to building property insurance renewals.
2. Property tax challenges: Support the attorney handling appeals by gathering information, completing forms, and filing documents.
3. Gather information: Continue gathering information, completing forms, and filing them.
4. Domecile: Upload documentation to the Domecile software.
5. City/State registrations: Gather information needed to complete government forms, including Storefront Registration, Supplemental Storefront Registration, RPIE Statement, HPD property registrations, and other required filings.
6. Renewing tenant leases: Work with the Property Manager to assemble lease renewals for standard and Rent Stabilized leases.
7. Tenant-candidate inquiries: Respond to questions from prospective tenants and compile their documents.
8. Appfolio enrollment: Help new tenants enroll in the payment portal (Appfolio).
9. Liaison: Coordinate with building accountants, CPAs, tax attorneys, vendors, tenants, and owners to resolve bookkeeping issues.
10. Budgeting support: Assist with budgeting questions and recommendations; recommend action when cash flow may go negative.
11. Expertise development: Research and build a knowledge base around NYC co-op, condo, and rental building finances and bookkeeping.
12. Upload resident information: Enter all residents/owners/tenants information into Appfolio.
13. Resident portals: Ensure residents/owners/tenants activate their Appfolio accounts.
14. Transition bookkeeping: Import financials from prior property management companies into our software.
$20,000 — $40,000 per year
