**Task Summary (What to Expect)**
In this role, you’ll listen to audio recordings and create precise written transcripts of what’s being said. These transcripts will help enhance AI speech recognition systems.

Your responsibilities may include:
– Transcribing audio into text with high accuracy
– Capturing speech exactly as spoken, including pauses, filler words (e.g., “uh,” “um”), repetitions, and unfinished sentences
– Adding timestamps that match the audio
– Identifying and labeling different speakers during conversations
– Marking non-speech events such as laughter, background noise, or unclear audio

Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills are essential to ensure high-quality transcription output.

**What We’re Looking For**
To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
– Strong knowledge of Amharic spelling conventions
– Located anywhere, but fluent in an Ethiopian dialect
– Good English reading comprehension skills
– Stable internet connection
– High attention to detail
– Ability to review examples and apply the rules to provided data
– Prior transcription experience
– Prior experience with audio data
– Access to a PC/laptop or an iPad

**Payments**
You’ll be paid the published hourly rate for audio. Tasks come in units with different audio lengths, and you can complete as many units as you want.

All submitted work must meet the required quality standards. If quality requirements aren’t met, tasks may be rejected.
