Plaid’s Brand team includes marketing designers, brand designers, copywriters, strategists, and other specialists who shape and evolve the Plaid brand. As a Video Producer & Editor, you’ll join the Brand Studio team, a group dedicated to elevating Plaid’s emotional and visual presence across all touchpoints. You will help build and expand our live‑action video capabilities, capturing genuine stories that highlight our people, products, and mission. You’ll work closely with designers, copywriters, strategists, and our video studio manager to plan, film, and edit high‑quality videos that communicate Plaid’s story with clarity and warmth. From documentary‑style interviews to brand campaigns, you will help define how live‑action storytelling makes Plaid feel human, relatable, and inspiring.
We’re seeking a skilled Video Producer & Editor to join our Brand Studio. From concept to final cut, you will produce thoughtful, authentic videos that reflect Plaid’s identity. This role is ideal for a storyteller who excels both behind the camera and during editing. You’ll capture interviews, brand stories, and product narratives that translate complex topics into accessible, human‑centered content. Working closely with our video studio manager and partners across brand, marketing, and design, you’ll help shape the tone and quality of Plaid’s video presence across the web, social channels, and campaigns. Your work will highlight the people and purpose behind Plaid, helping millions better understand the technology and values driving the financial future.
Responsibilities

• Develop creative and unexpected approaches to simplify complex ideas.
• Identify the core message and emotional impact we aim to convey.
• Elevate our brand by delivering world‑class video across marketing and product touchpoints.
• Produce outstanding live‑action video for campaigns, product explainers, internal content, and event footage.
• Capture and edit cinematic stories that make our products, people, and impact feel relatable and inspiring.
• Work with the Brand Studio and design system teams to maintain visual consistency, high‑quality craftsmanship, and scalable production practices.
• Collaborate with brand, product, and growth marketing teams to develop compelling video campaigns that simplify complex concepts and engage audiences.
• Offer creative input and on‑set guidance to teammates and freelancers to raise the quality and storytelling craft of our video output.
Qualifications
• 4–6+ years of experience producing, filming, and editing live‑action video for brands, agencies, or creative studios.
• Demonstrated ability to manage end‑to‑end video production, from pre‑production through post‑production.
• Hands‑on experience with camera operation, lighting, and sound for small to medium productions.
• Strong sense of composition, framing, and cinematic storytelling, with the ability to turn complex ideas into compelling narratives.
• Skilled at directing on‑camera talent and leading interviews to capture authentic performances.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with experience in color correction and grading tools such as DaVinci Resolve. Familiarity with Figma, Descript, Runway, and emerging AI tools that support creative workflows.
• Experience capturing and editing product UI footage to illustrate real‑world product use.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with strong project management abilities and the capacity to manage multiple shoots and timelines.
• Portfolio showcasing exceptional live‑action work and editing skills across campaigns, product content, and brand storytelling.
• Bonus: experience helping build or support an in‑house video studio, including input on equipment, set design, or workflow.
$151,200 – $208,800 a year
The listed base salary range applies to this full‑time role and does not include commission (if applicable), equity, or benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and relevant education or training.
