Overview
Welo Data is launching a new project and is seeking detail‑oriented professionals with strong listening and transcription skills to join our team as transcribers. In this remote role, you will accurately transcribe audio recordings and add useful context through tags and timestamps. Your responsibilities:
– Listen to audio recordings in the target language and produce highly accurate transcriptions.
– Insert timestamps to precisely align text with audio.
– Tag recordings with emotions, context, and other metadata to enhance project outcomes.
– Ensure that transcriptions are culturally appropriate and reflect tone and meaning correctly.
– Collaborate with the project team to maintain consistency and quality across all files.
– Adhere to project deadlines, guidelines, and formatting requirements.

Project details
Commitment: Flexible, at least 10–15 hours per week (up to 20 depending on availability).

Compensation: 35 USD per hour

Requirements:
– Native or professional‑level (C1/C2) proficiency in the target language, along with strong English skills.
– Experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic work is an advantage.
– Ability to recognize regional dialects, emotional cues, and contextual details in audio recordings.
– Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and error‑free work.
– Familiarity with transcription tools and confidence using timestamps and tags.
– Reliable availability and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality.
