Pay: $27.61–$41.41 per hour, based on relevant experience
Summary:
The Remote EEG Technologist is responsible for real-time monitoring of both continuous and intermittent EEG recordings, identifying abnormalities, notifying supervising neurologists and other care providers of findings, and editing studies as needed. The ideal candidate is a dependable, motivated, and experienced neurodiagnostics professional who can work independently and provide accurate monitoring.
Responsibilities:
– Demonstrate knowledge of normal and abnormal adult EEG patterns
– Distinguish artifacts from true cortical activity
– Accurately monitor, identify, and edit EEG abnormalities
– Maintain daily cEEG logs and document according to industry standards and company policies
– Operate EEG equipment effectively and troubleshoot when needed
– Use basic computer systems and perform data entry
– Understand medical terminology, ACNS EEG terminology, and common abbreviations in neurodiagnostics
– Communicate professionally with hospital staff, neurologists, and fellow remote technologists
Requirements:
– Associate degree or completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technologist program, or a high school diploma/GED with one registry
– Registered EEG Technician (REEGT) certification from ABRET
– At least 1 year of EEG experience
– BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR for the Professional Rescuer) required before start date and valid for at least 60 days after hire
