We are a small team of four that has been creating tools for Shopify merchants for the past four years. Our steady growth means we now need a second customer support representative.
We take customer support very seriously, which is reflected in our app’s excellent rating. Now we’re ready to raise the quality of our support even further.
Your primary responsibility will be communicating with customers and helping them resolve technical issues. However, you’ll also have the chance to explore other areas of the business. We welcome initiative, and it’s easy to carve out a new role for yourself if it benefits the company.
At the moment, we urgently need someone who understands SEO and can research and write high-quality technical articles. Because of this, the position may be split evenly between customer support and SEO/writing, making the role more dynamic.
Some key responsibilities:
• Communicate with customers through live chat or email and resolve their issues
• Continuously learn about our app’s features and the broader Shopify ecosystem
• Summarize merchant feedback and propose ideas for product improvements
• Perform manual tests for new feature releases
• Handle some non-support tasks (research, blog writing, mockup creation), depending on your skills and interests
Must have:
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a willingness to learn more
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Enjoy helping people and solving their problems
• Ability to handle difficult customers (though we have very few)
• Ability to discuss technical concepts at a high level
• Willingness and ability to write technical documentation or articles
• Openness to non-support tasks, as we’re a small startup where everyone multitasks
• Availability for at least a 4-hour overlap with GMT+7 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Bonus qualifications:
1. Strong SEO knowledge
2. Your own e-commerce or tech-focused blog
3. Basic video production skills for technical screencasts
4. UI/UX design experience
5. Experience with Reddit marketing

$10,000 — $30,000 per year
