RWS is expanding our IT team; their critical mission is to make our staff more productive. Our new Systems Administrator will work as part of the IT Team which is responsible for the following:
- They keep our critical services running smoothly. Sick computers, disrupted internet, crashed servers etc. make it impossible for our company to fulfill its promises to our customers – and it can be super frustrating to our valuable staff. We all come to work to accomplish something great together; the IT team provides the tools we need to succeed.
- The IT team designs and performs regular maintenance/updates of our systems and software. Completing software updates, replacing outdated tools with cool new technologies and optimizing our equipment all help drive productivity and satisfaction up to new levels.
- This team is responsible for continuous sustainable improvement of our systems and software; if we’re not getting better every week we are not succeeding. They help us relentlessly pursue efficiency and root out waste and frustrations.
- And provide level 3 technical assistance for our 50+ highly tech savvy employees. That is – it is not “fix my printer” its “why are we getting slow HTTPS performance on SDL17) — but you may also have to occasionally fix a printer.
The IT Team uses Scrum to stay focused and execute effectively. If you’re unfamiliar with Scrum, you can learn more about it in the seminal book by Scrum creator Jeff Sutherland, SCRUM: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time.
