Job brief:

We are looking for a part time (approx. 15 hours per month) System administrator who is dedicated to his craft: someone who is proud of his or her work and is constantly learning the newest methods and technologies. We need someone with Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and utilities, tools and applications used to install, configure, document and maintain systems and applications. Proven experience in a production environment with the following: automated install, automated build and deployment, automated configuration management, enterprise monitoring systems, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, PHP application servers.

Excellent communication skills in order to collaborate as a knowledge leader in the specification, design and deployment support of Linux infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to develop and document complex procedures.

Requirements:

• Highly motivated candidates that demonstrate creative and methodical problem solving abilities • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience • Eight years of hands-on systems administration with LINUX systems, Nginx webservers (Ubuntu is a plus) • Configuration management with Puppet • Solid understanding of networking protocols: DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, NFS, LDAP, SSH • Strong experience in MySQL, MongoDB and ElasticSearch • Experience with Cloud Environment (AWS & Digital Ocean) and virtual private networks • Network Security
