We’re a small team of four, and we’ve been building tools for Shopify merchants for over two years. Our growth has been steady, and we’ve now reached the point where we need a dedicated customer support role.

Until now, we haven’t had a full-time support position. However, customer service has always been our top priority, reflected in our app’s excellent ratings. We’d like to take our support to an even higher level.

As our first customer support hire, you’ll be a key part of the team. You’ll help us design the systems and processes that future support hires will rely on.

You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about other parts of the business and potentially transition into new roles later. We value initiative, and it’s easy for us to shape the role around your strengths if it helps the company succeed.

We’re especially encouraging applicants from Morocco to help us provide strong coverage across time zones and support multilingual communication.

Key responsibilities:
– Respond to customers via live chat or email and resolve their requests
– Continue learning about our app and the Shopify ecosystem to improve support quality
– Collect feedback from merchants and suggest improvements
– Take on additional tasks beyond support (e.g., researching tools, writing blog posts, or creating mockups), depending on your skills and interests

Requirements:
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Genuine enjoyment in helping people and solving problems
– Ability to handle difficult customers (rare, but possible)
– Comfort discussing technical topics at a deeper level
– Basic knowledge of CSS and JavaScript, with a willingness to learn more as needed
– Willingness to write technical documentation or articles
– Openness to responsibilities outside customer support (in a small startup, everyone wears multiple hats)
– Availability for at least four hours of overlap with GMT+7 between 9:00 and 18:00

Preferred:
– Experience with Shopify, especially theme development or customization
– Experience in B2B SaaS
– Knowledge of additional languages (particularly French, Spanish, or Italian)
– Other startup-relevant skills (e.g., marketing, SEO, video editing, etc.)

Salary: Negotiable
