## POSITION OVERVIEW
Global Atlantic is seeking a Consultative Customer Specialist for the Batesville, IN, Des Moines, IA, or Hartford, CT locations, with an expected start date of January 17. This role is part of a team of customer service representatives responsible for handling insurance support calls, completing post-call follow-up, and fulfilling call-back commitments for our preneed insurance customers, both internal and external. Key duties include:
## RESPONSIBILITIES
– Understand insurance products, processes, and system capabilities
– Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service
– Record phone and written communications in a computer database or tracking system, maintaining accurate hard-copy files as needed
– Receive and resolve contract-related inquiries within established service standards
– Identify, communicate, and proactively work to solve problems or issues
– Provide accurate responses to consumer/customer questions about all Global Atlantic products, including clearly explaining features, advantages, benefits, and state-specific differences
– Investigate client requests or complaints using system information and contract provisions to reach resolutions in line with administrative and compliance guidelines
– Support Global Atlantic’s long-term success by building strong customer relationships (internal and external)
– Report to work at the start of scheduled shifts and be comfortable with all calls being recorded for quality assurance
– Serve as the main point of contact for assigned sales representatives, accounts, and states
– Provide a wide range of technical and operational support to clients and agents
– Use reporting tools effectively and apply sound judgment when providing reports to external customers while ensuring privacy is protected
– Participate in team meetings and other cross-functional groups
– Understand commission triggers by product, commission payments, and chargebacks by product and distribution channel
– Perform other duties as assigned by management
## REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
– 1+ year of customer service experience
– Strong computer and software skills, especially Microsoft Office
– Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus
