We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team. MarcoPolo is entering a new phase of growth, and this is a unique opportunity to join a proven and maturing business and technology team, as a key member of the product team.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in delivering complex EdTech platforms and effectively managing development teams in a fast-moving environment.
The right candidate will be a start-up ready team player, willing to push the bar to achieve ambitious targets and not afraid to face new challenges. They will work closely with the Product Owner and the Head of Technology in a central project management role, helping to ensure that deadlines, scope and quality standards are met, on time and on budget.
Experience in digital education platforms is a must.
Key Skills (you must have):
- 5+ years’ experience in managing B2B2C digital education product development projects, ideally with a focus on school districts
- You know your project management craft and have experience of agile processes, SCRUM management and agile software as well as lean project methodologies, such as Kanban
- You are a hands on, roll-up your sleeves initiator who draws attention the actions that must be taken
- Experience of strategic planning, project scheduling and full project lifecycle management
- Experience of data migration and technical integrations
- Experience of setting and tracking acceptance and performance criteria
- Experience of working with interactive products built in Unity and of working closely with Unity teams
- Experience of working with cross functional teams and understanding of the benefit of truly coordinated activities
- Experience dealing with all the stakeholders on a project from the in-house teams – product, software dev, engineering, education, creative – to external contractors and senior management Great understanding of project risk assessment and the confidence to escalate problems to senior stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English
- A problem-solving, analytical mindset and strong decision-making capabilities
- University degree from a top university evidencing general aptitude
