Activision Blizzard USA is seeking to add a senior technical member to our team on a contract basis. We hope you have heard of us! We are a premier global entertainment technology company, with a 30-year track record of beloved game hits: Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Guitar Hero, and many, many other titles.
We’ve got an advanced technology initiative underway around real-timebusiness intelligence. It involves rapid handling of a mountain of continuous logging data. =)
We’re looking for veteran System Administrators in South Korea to join our team as offsite after-hoursDevOps members.
This means you can work from wherever you wantas long as we establish sufficient security standards. It is not necessarythat you reside in the USA. We know there are talented and reliable people all over the world today.
Your responsibilities, as you already know in general, are server design, setup, maintenance, and monitoring. We will be hosting on AWS.
The positions will initially be 3-to-6-month contracts, with the potential to be extended to long-term or employee status after internal scale-up of the platform we are building.
We understand that not many people will have direct experience with allof the bits and pieces listed below. Checking all the boxes is not important. The important thing is that you have some experience with large production environments handling a lot of data and throughput + passion for the craft that we all share + a love of ongoing learning to keep yourself at the top of the game. In this modern era of rapid technology evolution, how quickly you can master new skills increasingly outweighs a dust library in-your-head of evaporating skills-inventory.
For this type of DevOps role, excellent English communication is obviously vital. When issues crop up you need to be able to jump on it instantly, alert the rest of the team, and document what you are doing clearly and precisely.
