We are looking for a software engineer who can help improve J. J. Threads current platform and execute our future technology goals. Our aim is to create a social e-commerce platform that provides mobile-friendly solutions to both our staff and customers, increase our efficiency in delivering the best product to our customers, and capitalizes on the customer data that we collect to continually improve our business.

Responsibilities • Work closely with the product team to improve design and usability of the site • Rework design of critical flows in our existing site’s front-end • Implement today’s best-practices for high performance and responsive design throughout the site • Play a leading role in determining the design direction of the new site based on product and customer needs, either by creating the designs yourself or by working with outside design talent • Work closely with backend team to improve site performance on both ends • Take responsibility for driving decisions balancing aesthetic, performance, device compatibility, and code complexity • Ensure an SEO-friendly layout • Create and manage a transparent project schedule and keep management apprised of progress • Understand the importance of data in making business decisions and develop technology tools to meet those needs • Be able to combine quantitative and qualitative customer insights to improve our technology platform
