Babylist is looking for an experienced Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager who can help us to be the number one baby registry and shopping destination for new parents and parents-to-be in the US. You are curious, driven, results-oriented and have hands-on experience managing SEM campaigns for eCommerce companies.

You will report to the Director of Acquisition Marketing and be part of a lean but extremely effective and results-oriented acquisition team. You thrive on a fast-paced, action-biased team and are passionate about work that is customer-focused and truly helps those in this specific life stage.

Responsibilities

Who You Are

  • You’re a hands-on search marketer who can do day-to-day account management for search and PLA campaigns
  • You’re a ROI-driven performance marketer who can read LTV, CAC, and volume data insights to build a sustainable and scalable growth model
  • You’re extremely data-driven; you can read and analyze large sets of data and turn them into actionable insights
  • You’re a self-starter with ownership mindset, able to pivot quickly and deliver against daring targets & goals in a fast and rapidly-evolving environment
  • You have a customer-first mindset and a desire for creative problem solving
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • You’re detail-oriented and extremely diligent with campaign management

What You’ll Do

  • Own search channels with a focus on Paid Search and Shopping, making improvements to scale revenue volume while hitting ROAS goals
  • Manage tightly defined CAC and volume targets, with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting against KPIs
  • Identify ways to measurably improve and optimize paid search campaigns: analyze campaign performance, identify trends, and facilitate opportunities for improvement
  • Manage over $2,000,000+ annual search budget and optimize it to meet ROI goals and grow the business; closely monitor campaign performance daily and react to deviations from plan quickly and strategically
  • Develop search strategy for priority initiatives and lead implementation to drive step change improvements in performance
  • Develop and implement tests at a rapid pace to institute rigorous test and learn methodology to achieve desired results

Requirements

What You’ve Done

  • Minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience in SEM marketing
  • Must have previous hands-on PLA Shopping and Google Search marketing experience at scale, managing minimum $2MM+ search budget
  • Worked for a retail or eCommerce business with over $100M annual revenue
  • Have experience with Google Merchant Center managing Shopping Feed testing
  • Experience managing Google Display and Youtube Channels
  • You’re extremely familiar with ROAS and ROI models to drive meaningful business growth
  • Worked in teams that balance a data-driven methodology with user-first intuition
  • Have a proven record of high performance/achievement and driving impact
  • Partnered with Product and Engineering teams in the past to identify and recommend solutions to technical hurdles
