Scrum Master
BETSOL is a fast growing Product Engineering and Managed IT Services company based out of Denver, Colorado. We are recruiting a Project Manager – Scrum Master with a strong skill set to join a high impact team. Candidate must have great communication skills with an outward personality to match.
The position is in the Greater Denver area.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Define project goals, roadmap & dependencies
Prepare project plan & get consensus of stakeholders
Set objectives for team members & help them achieve them by providing required support
Forecast and mitigate project risks through project analysis
Manage crisis through effective communication, resolution & retrospection
Collaborate with teams to mitigate dependencies
Proactively communicate anomalies & mitigate them
Encourage collaborative learning in teams through effective knowledge sharing practices
Support leadership team to accelerate transformational initiatives
Primary Skills:
Excellent planning, reporting, conflict management and organizational skills
Facilitative – must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team
Assertive – must be able to ensure Agile/ Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls
Situationally Aware – must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management
Continual Improvement – must continually be growing one’s craft, learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team
Attitude of empowerment – must be able to lead a team to self-organization
Attitude of transparency – must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust
Secondary Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels within the company
Excellent time management, communications, decision making and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Scrum Master certification (CSM or PSM)
