Agreena is an exciting, fast-moving, purpose-driven organisation on a mission to connect farmers and corporations to unlock the value of nature and help restore the planet. Although we are rooted in agriculture, finance, and technology, our team includes a wide range of specialists—from soil carbon scientists and software developers to market strategists and regulatory experts. More than 200 employees from over 40 nationalities work together under the Agreena banner, either from our headquarters in Copenhagen, our office in London, or remotely across Europe.

Agreena delivers solutions that support both environmental and financial sustainability. We offer a positive, supportive workplace with opportunities to learn, lead, and grow at every stage of your career. We give our employees real responsibility and encourage fresh thinking, innovation, and a sense of fun.

And this is where you come in:

As an Agricultural Specialist/Agronomist, you will support the Program Advisory and Science teams within the Program function. You will provide agronomic and technical guidance to farmer-facing teams and partners on regenerative agriculture relevant to our European carbon program. We are looking for someone with an agronomy/agricultural science background and experience communicating arable farming practices, along with strong advisory and communication skills. You should have knowledge of agricultural, environmental, or carbon sciences and the ability to communicate clearly within the Agreena Program. The ideal candidate is mission-driven and outgoing, with a strong desire to support change and help grow understanding of regenerative agriculture among both peers and farmers.

The Agreena Program function investigates the science needed for on-farm activities and data measurement that can support verification by independent standards. The function includes the Science & Advisory, Standards, and Program & Data Operations teams. You will be part of the Science & Advisory focus and work closely with the team to communicate and develop the Agreena Program, supporting understanding across the business and with farmers.

How you will make an impact:
– Communicate regenerative arable farm management practices within regenerative agriculture, and explain how they affect the broader Agreena Program to both colleagues and farmers;
– Support and present at internal workshops to train teams that work directly with farmers;
– Develop multi-format support materials (including LMS courses) to communicate, guide, and promote best practices for the Agreena Program and carbon farming;
– Collaborate with the Science & Advisory team and the broader Agreena business to turn this work into practical activities and logic that strengthen our existing platform;
– Communicate across multiple teams to translate scientific needs and methods into realistic implementation plans, including alignment with international standards, farm-level practices, required evidence and data, and related initiatives.

Who we’re looking for:
– Proven experience in agronomy, agricultural sciences, regenerative agriculture, or a related field;
– Several years of experience working in the agriculture/food industry, promoting best practices, and holding relevant qualifications that enable you to provide agronomic or nutrient management advice;
– Experience communicating complex technical information clearly, through materials and/or workshops;
– Broad scientific knowledge of research and relevant literature on best farm management practices and their environmental impacts, with the ability to translate this into practical, actionable advice for farmers (or those who work with farmers);
– Evidence of effective communication with multiple stakeholder groups, such as farmer groups, seminars, articles, and other sector materials;
– A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or a related subject;
– Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset, with an organised and people-focused approach to projects;
– Fluency in English.

Bonus points if you:
– Have experience conducting research for private companies and/or academia;
– Have provided on-farm advisory support and helped farmers implement regenerative practices;
– Have helped farmers join VCM programs, or advised on data requirements and applications for subsidy or environmental stewardship schemes;
– Have project management qualifications;
– Are passionate about working with multiple teams;
– Are detail-oriented and able to produce well-prepared, accurate, error-free work;
– Have worked with farmers in more than one European country;
– Speak other European languages.

What’s in it for you:
– A unique opportunity to join and help shape a fast-growing tech scale-up driven by an ambitious mission to reverse climate change;
– A truly global environment where you can collaborate and socialise with diverse, passionate colleagues;
– A competitive compensation package and generous holidays;
– A modern, central office in Copenhagen, plus the option to work from home a couple of days per week;
– Team events throughout the year;
– An exciting, purpose-led culture and mission;
– Open communication and a supportive feedback culture.
