The Role

As a Research Analyst, you will be working alongside our team to produce industry-leading research. Our work is read by top investors, entrepreneurs, traders, and companies in the crypto industry.

You will have the freedom to follow your curiosity and whatever sparks your search for understanding. You will also support the build out of quarterly reports as a new service for crypto projects and DAOs provided through Messari Hub. Finally, you will provide feedback on work contributed by our independent Messari Hub analysts.

We are seeking candidates that have a solid understanding of the industry and have experience writing crypto research or are currently in banking, investment management, consulting, or similar research roles.

Analysts have a high degree of autonomy along with strong internal infrastructure to produce industry-leading research.

What you’ll do

Publish crypto research reports focused on high signal data-driven analysis.
Become an expert in your sector. You will be responsible for staying up to date on the bleeding edge of crypto and analyzing data for research pieces.
Support the build out of quarterly reports: design financial statement templates for protocols, work with data scientists, and write initiation reports like this one.
Provide feedback on research contributed by independent Hub analysts.

Who you are

3-5 years of working experience. Preferably as a Research Analyst or Associate in either crypto or TradFi with previous exposure to financial statement modeling and analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
You are borderline obsessed with crypto and have practical experience interacting with crypto protocols whether that is through yield farming, minting NFTs, advising a crypto project, participating in a DAO, or doing your own deep dives into projects.
Relentlessly curious, resourceful, and able to think critically and creatively.
A team player, but really. We are a team of collaborative individuals that put Messari’s mission above personal achievement.
