Agreena is an energetic, fast-moving, purpose-led organisation helping connect farmers and corporations to unlock the value of nature and support the restoration of the planet. While our roots are in agriculture, finance, and technology, our team includes a broad mix of experts—from soil carbon scientists and software developers to market strategists and regulatory specialists. More than 200 employees representing over 40 nationalities work together under the Agreena name, from our Copenhagen headquarters, our London office, or remotely across Europe.

Agreena provides solutions designed to support both environmental and financial sustainability. We offer a positive, encouraging workplace where you can learn, take initiative, and grow throughout your career. We entrust employees with meaningful responsibility and promote fresh thinking, innovation, and a genuine sense of enjoyment.

And now, this is where you fit in:

As an Agricultural Specialist/Agronomist, you will support the Program Advisory and Science teams within the Program function. You will provide agronomic and technical guidance to farmer-facing teams and partners on regenerative agriculture that is relevant to our European carbon program. We are looking for someone with a background in agronomy or agricultural sciences and experience communicating arable farming practices, combined with strong advisory and communication skills. You should have knowledge of agricultural, environmental, or carbon sciences and be able to communicate clearly within the Agreena Program. The ideal candidate is mission-driven and approachable, with a strong desire to create change and help expand understanding of regenerative agriculture among both colleagues and farmers.

The Agreena Program function examines the science behind on-farm activities and the data measurement required to enable verification by independent standards. This function includes the Science & Advisory, Standards, and Program & Data Operations teams. You will be part of the Science & Advisory focus and work closely with the team to help communicate and develop the Agreena Program, supporting understanding across the business and among farmers.

How you will make an impact:
– Share regenerative arable farm management practices, explain how they influence the wider Agreena Program, and communicate this to both colleagues and farmers;
– Support and present at internal workshops to train teams that work directly with farmers;
– Create multi-format support materials (including LMS courses) to communicate, coach, and promote best practices for the Agreena Program and carbon farming;
– Partner with the Science & Advisory team and the wider business to convert this work into practical activities and logic that strengthen our existing platform;
– Coordinate across multiple teams to translate scientific requirements and methods into realistic implementation plans, including alignment with international standards, farm-level practices, the evidence and data needed, and related initiatives.

Who we’re looking for:
– Demonstrated experience in agronomy, agricultural sciences, regenerative agriculture, or a related area;
– Several years of experience in the agriculture/food sector, promoting best practices, and holding relevant qualifications that enable you to provide agronomic or nutrient management guidance;
– Experience communicating complex technical topics clearly through materials and/or workshops;
– Broad scientific knowledge of research and relevant literature on effective farm management practices and their environmental effects, with the ability to translate this into practical, usable advice for farmers (or those who work with farmers);
– Proof of strong communication with a variety of stakeholder groups, such as farmer groups, seminars, articles, and other industry materials;
– A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline;
– Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, with an organised, people-focused mindset;
– Fluency in English.

Extra advantages if you have:
– Experience conducting research for private companies and/or academia;
– Experience providing on-farm advisory support and helping farmers implement regenerative practices;
– Experience helping farmers join VCM programs, or advising on data requirements and applications for subsidy or environmental stewardship schemes;
– Project management qualifications;
– Passion for working with multiple teams;
– Strong attention to detail, producing accurate, well-prepared, error-free work;
– Experience working with farmers in more than one European country;
– Proficiency in other European languages.

What you can expect:
– A rare opportunity to join and help shape a fast-growing tech scale-up driven by an ambitious mission to reverse climate change;
– A genuinely global working environment, with chances to collaborate and connect with diverse, passionate colleagues;
– A competitive compensation package and generous vacation time;
– A modern, central office in Copenhagen, plus the option to work from home a couple of days per week;
– Team events throughout the year;
– An inspiring, purpose-focused culture and mission;
– Open communication and a supportive feedback culture.
