ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a highly technical Product Owner to lead the Login & Authentication product at Xsolla. You thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and agile environment and are passionate about building secure, scalable, and user-friendly authentication solutions for game developers, publishers, and platforms.
The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in authentication, authorization, and identity management, along with a deep understanding of security protocols, user access management, and API integrations. You will work closely with engineers, security teams, and external partners to ensure seamless authentication experiences while prioritizing security and compliance.
Your success in this role will depend on your ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear product roadmaps, drive innovation in login and authentication solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security and usability. If you’re experienced in SSO, OAuth, OpenID, and other authentication frameworks, and love working on critical security-driven products, we’d love to hear from you!
RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the development and enhancement of Xsolla’s Login & Authentication solutions, ensuring secure and seamless access management.
    • Define and prioritize product features related to authentication, authorization, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and user identity management.
    • Drive the adoption of industry-standard authentication protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, JWT, and Federation protocols.
    • Collaborate with security teams to enhance authentication security, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with GDPR, SOC 2, and other regulatory frameworks.
    • Manage API integrations for authentication services, ensuring scalability and seamless developer onboarding.
    • Optimize login UX by reducing friction and enhancing user experience while maintaining high-security standards.
    • Monitor authentication system performance, identify risks, and proactively implement improvements to reliability and security.
    • Work closely with engineering, security, and business teams to develop innovative authentication solutions that empower game developers and publishers.
REQUIREMENTS

    • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Technical Lead in authentication, security, or identity management.
    • Strong technical expertise in authentication & authorization frameworks such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and JWT.
    • Deep understanding of security best practices, including MFA, zero-trust architecture, session management, and identity federation.
    • Experience working with authentication APIs, SDKs, and cloud-based identity solutions such as Auth0, Okta, Keycloak, or Firebase Authentication.
    • Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams, translating complex technical challenges into clear product roadmaps.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and data-driven decision-making.
    • Upper-intermediate English or higher, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
PREFERRED

    • Experience in game authentication systems, including player profiles, cross-platform logins, and social login integrations.
    • Familiarity with identity governance and administration (IGA) tools.
    • Understanding of CI/CD workflows related to authentication deployment.
    • Knowledge of AI/ML-driven authentication enhancements (e.g., behavioral authentication, fraud detection).
