Position
AI Language Expert — Portuguese
Type: Hourly contractor
Compensation: $25–$30/hour
Location: Remote

Duration
Commitment: At least 15 hours per week
Schedule: Fully asynchronous — work whenever you choose
Start Date: Ongoing, as new projects begin

Role Responsibilities
– Review AI‑generated Portuguese speech and text for correctness, natural flow, and educational value.
– Evaluate speech and writing from learners ranging from CEFR Pre‑A1 to B2+.
– Use expert judgment to spot learner mistakes, awkward phrasing, and teaching gaps.
– Provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI tutoring and language‑learning systems.
– Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and other language experts.
– Help elevate the quality and reliability of AI‑based language instruction.

Qualifications
Must‑Have
– Native‑level proficiency in Portuguese.
– Experience teaching Portuguese or assessing learner language.
– Strong English skills (C1/C2).
– Knowledge of learner language patterns and the CEFR framework.
– Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree or higher.
– Excellent attention to detail and consistent linguistic judgment.

Nice‑to‑Have
– Background in language assessment, curriculum development, or standardized testing.
– Familiarity with AI language tools or educational technology.
– Ability to work independently within structured, asynchronous processes.

$25–$30 per hour
