The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 10‑week experiential learning opportunity offered by Stand Together Fellowships, providing meaningful work experience with nonprofit organizations across the country that are addressing some of the nation’s most significant challenges. While interning with a partner organization, you will also participate in virtual professional development sessions every Thursday from 1–5 p.m. ET, where experienced professionals will mentor you as you develop a capstone project on a topic of your choice. Interns receive a stipend of either $5,500 for full-time participation (40 hours per week) or $3,300 for part-time participation (28 hours per week).

Applicants who advance in the process will interview with both the nonprofit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so early applications are encouraged.

The Empire Center is seeking motivated candidates for its Student Fellow (Policy/Research) position. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a leading state-focused think tank.

The Empire Center works to improve life and work in New York by advocating for public policy reforms rooted in free-market principles, personal responsibility, and effective, accountable government. Through research reports, briefings, commentaries, and events, the organization aims to educate state policymakers, the media, and the public.

Student fellows are paired with researchers who specialize in areas such as taxation, government transparency, energy, healthcare, and labor.

Fellows will develop analytical skills and apply them to significant projects, with the potential to be credited as an author on an Empire Center publication.

Strong candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, have exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.

This is a full-time role open to both in-person and remote applicants.

Stand Together Fellowships values diversity of experiences, perspectives, and ideas, which it believes drives creativity and success. The admissions team treats every applicant with honesty, respect, and sensitivity, and welcomes all qualified candidates regardless of background or legally protected status.
