The Associate Product Manager (Data Platform) supports the delivery of customer-facing data shares and listings across platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery and S3, helping make Lightcast data easy for customers to access and use This is an early-career role designed for candidates with 1–2 years of experience who are looking to grow into a Technical Product Manager path. The role focuses on product execution, data platform operations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure data products are reliable, compliant, and easy for customers to consume You will contribute to backlog execution, data contract management, and product launches while gaining hands-on experience with modern data platforms and increasing ownership over time
- Build an understanding of customer use cases and how Lightcast data is consumed across external data platforms
- Translate requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Support backlog prioritization and ensure engineering teams are unblocked and delivering against roadmap commitments
Data Platform & Distribution Management
- Maintain and publish datasets across Snowflake Secure Shares/Marketplace, Databricks Delta Sharing, BigQuery Analytics Hub, and S3 delivery Ensure data listings and entitlements are accurate and delivered within SLAs
Data Contracts & Governance
- Support the definition and maintenance of data contracts, including schemas, versioning, and deprecation processes
- Assist with compliance efforts related to PII, access control, lineage, and auditability
Data Quality & Reliability
- Monitor data quality (freshness, null values, duplicates) and flag issues
- Help maintain high standards for reliability and customer trust
Product Launch & Support
- Contribute to product launches through documentation, changelogs, and internal enablement
- Assist with incident triage and root cause analysis (RCA)
Platform Growth & Adoption
- Track usage across platforms and identify opportunities to increase adoption
- Support initiatives that drive measurable growth in usage
- 1–2 years of experience in product, data, analytics, or a related field
- Exposure to data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery)
- Basic understanding of SQL or data concepts
- Familiarity with data quality, governance, or security concepts
- Experience working in agile environments with exposure to backlog management
- Strong written communication skills, including user stories and documentation
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, data, legal, security, and GTM teams
