We are looking for experienced physicists and engineers to help with an advanced AI research initiative in partnership with a top artificial intelligence lab. As a Scientific Content Evaluator for Physics, you will ensure that AI-generated content is scientifically accurate, conceptually correct, and analytically rigorous across a wide range of physics and applied engineering topics. This role is a great fit for PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, or advanced master’s graduates who want to apply their expertise in a cutting-edge field at the intersection of AI and the physical sciences.
Key focus areas
We are especially interested in expertise in:
– Core Physics: Classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, relativity
– Applied & computational physics: computational modeling, materials science, optics, acoustics
– Engineering applications: electrical, mechanical, and aerospace engineering; control systems; applied mathematics
– Interdisciplinary domains: data-driven physics, AI for physical systems, energy systems, instrumentation
Key responsibilities
– Review the scientific validity and logical coherence of AI-generated physics and engineering content
– Check mathematical derivations, simulation approaches, and experimental reasoning for accuracy and depth
– Detect and annotate factual errors, methodological issues, and conceptual gaps
– Provide structured, subject-specific feedback to improve AI accuracy and reasoning
– Work asynchronously with a global team using specialized evaluation tools
– Help develop evaluation frameworks that test AI performance in advanced scientific reasoning
Qualifications
– PhD (or currently pursuing) or a Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
– Strong knowledge of graduate-level physics, applied mathematics, and problem-solving methods
– Excellent skills in analytical writing, documentation, and communication
– Self-motivated, detail-focused, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
