We are growing and are looking for a People Coordinator to provide support across several HR functions including on-boarding, employee information systems, and overall support for our growing employee population. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across the organization, be part of a fast-scaling company and contribute to AC’s overall People success by providing a best in class experience to internal and external stakeholders.
What your day will look like:
- Administering background checks and preparing, sending, and collecting offer documents and employment contracts and managing I-9 process.
- Partner with the IT department on onboarding set-up and tickets as needed.
- Build out new hire profiles and documentation in HRIS system, Workday.
- Maintaining and auditing human resources records including new hire files, transfers, terminations, changes in job classification, salary changes, etc.
- Supporting the administrative part of the new hire process (screening, contracts, updating of HR systems).
- Helping out where necessary during the pre-boarding and onboarding of employees, i.e. staying in touch with them, answering their questions, sending them relevant material, and so on.
- Responding to employee questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining employee related documents that ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Partner with HRIS to iterate and build out employee profiles in Workday.
- Own various projects and tasks including, but not limited to compliance, events, special projects, and VOEs.
- Updating the HRIS system as needed.
- Providing other related HR duties as needed
What is needed:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1 year + of administrative/coordination experience, ideally as part of an HR/People team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, with the ability to master new systems quickly.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information, records, and reports.
- Willingness and excitement to jumping in when needed to provide support within the team.
- Flexibility: ability to shift tasks and priorities in a big way at the drop of a hat; comfortable working with ambiguity.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of HR law and compliance.
