Job Description:

As a Payroll Clerk at Tataskweyak Cree Nation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients. This position involves handling various payroll tasks, including printing and mailing payments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and on time.
  2. Verify timekeeping records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  3. Calculate and process deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
  4. Generate and review payroll reports for accuracy.
  5. Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  6. Prepare and print physical payroll checks for distribution.
  7. Organize and maintain payroll records in both digital and hard copy formats.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of payroll processing procedures and regulations.
  3. Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  7. Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
  8. Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations.
  9. Familiarity with printing and mailing processes for payroll checks.
  10. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

$80,000 — $240,000/year
