We’re seeking a Patient Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. In this position, you’ll handle patient billing questions, follow up on unpaid balances, and help ensure every interaction reflects our dedication to care, clarity, and compassion.

Each year, 60% of U.S. adults with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated due to limited access, while 45% of clinicians are out of network because of low reimbursement rates and excessive administrative work. Using innovative technology and a human-first approach, we connect patients with the care they need and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they chose medicine.

You will:
• Reach out to patients about outstanding balances and help answer billing questions
• Manage lists of delinquent accounts and send past-due or discharge notices when needed
• Collaborate with third-party collection agencies to manage patient placements and resolve questions
• Address billing escalations and handle ServiceNow tickets promptly and professionally
• Keep clear, accurate records of all communication with patients and agencies
• Work closely with teams such as Patient Experience, Finance, and Clinical Operations to support smooth billing processes and a strong patient experience
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality
• Help patients understand their insurance benefits, coverage details, and estimated out-of-pocket costs
• Clearly explain copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-network charges
• Partner with internal teams to improve price transparency and reduce confusion or financial barriers
• Support initiatives that reduce patient debt through early financial communication and education

You have:
• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, collections, or healthcare revenue cycle
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems preferred
• Experience working with collection agencies
• Excellent communication skills—empathetic, clear, and professional
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfort working remotely and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Compensation for this role ranges from $21.00 to $26.00 per hour based on experience, location, and individual qualifications.
