Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day application administration
  • Maintain a number of Linux servers running mission critical server roles
  • Ensure all servers are kept up to date using the latest security patches
  • Participate in an on call rotation

We are currently in the process of migrating to Ansible + Docker but right now we need some support to manage the current infrastructure. The position is part time or full time if you have DevOps experience and want to handle both.

Requirements

  • Experience with the following: Linux (CentOS), Apache, Nginx, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, Load balancers, VOIP, SIP, Email hosting, OpenVPN
  • At least 3 years experience working as a Linux Systems Administrator (sysadmin)
  • A solid understanding of System Administration and principles
  • An understanding of Linux server maintenance
  • Ability to identify root cause issues quickly and solve them when time is a critical factor
  • Conducting and testing system backups
  • Monitoring system performance and tuning where required
  • Experience in an environment governed by PCI-DSS
  • Any knowledge of Cloud technologies would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills
