About the Role

The Accounts Receivable Operations Accountant will help the Manager of Accounting Operations re-engineer Order to Cash Transactional processes, take leadership role in day-to-day operational accounting activities, and provide assistance on business support, operational analysis, and process improvement.

Role Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable complex reconciliations which could include multiple currencies
Miscellaneous Receipts reconciliation
Credit card and Cybersource reconciliation and support for ongoing improvement to processes
Month-end close responsibility for accounts receivable
Reporting and analysis of Accounts Receivable metrics to enable strategic decision making
Run models and perform basic support for BW’s Bad Debt Provision
Rebate Process Support
Sales support with communication of more complex accounting issues to non-accounting audience
Assisting AR Cash Receipts team with complex payment issues
Assisting Credit and Collections team with analysis of customer accounts
Work on monitoring customer accounts and screening new customers for creditworthiness
Metrics reporting and data analysis for Accounts Receivable

Skills and Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Accounting preferably in the United States
Prior accounting experience in large corporations or Public Accounting
2 to 10 years prior experience
Knowledge of Profit and Loss & Balance Sheet
G/L Accounting experience
Reconciliation processes, including Bank Reconciliations
Journal entries – for knowledge of accounting
Preparing schedules for review by customers
Intermediate or better knowledge of Excel
Desired but not required
—Data Base skills skill such as Tableau or Apex
—CPA or Chartered Accountant
—MBA or equivalent
