The Implementation Manager is responsible for managing the complete end-to-end implementation of our SaaS solutions. Working closely with clients, this role ensures a smooth onboarding experience, supports strong internal cross-functional collaboration, and delivers each project on time and at an exceptionally high standard. The ideal candidate has strong project and client management skills, excellent communication, and a customer-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead full-cycle SaaS implementations, from discovery and design through configuration, testing, training, and go-live, ensuring a seamless transition to ongoing client support.
– Manage multiple client projects at the same time while consistently meeting timelines, milestones, and expectations.
– Create and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, and identify risks, issues, and dependencies early.
– Facilitate client workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and solution discussions to understand needs, workflows, and success criteria.
– Recommend solution design and configuration approaches based on best practices.
– Coordinate internal teams and quality checks to confirm data accuracy and system readiness before launch.
– Provide clear, consistent project updates and actively reduce risks to ensure successful delivery.
Client & Stakeholder Management
– Serve as the primary point of contact for client teams and stakeholders.
– Build strong, trust-based relationships and deliver a positive, consultative implementation experience.
– Set clear expectations, communicate status updates, and lead effective client meetings and presentations.
– Represent client needs internally while balancing project goals and product capabilities.
Solution Design & Documentation
– Participate in solution design discussions and validate configuration options to align with client objectives.
– Document processes, requirements, use cases, and configuration details.
– Support internal process improvements and help establish scalable implementation best practices.
– Act as a sales engineer during early adoption opportunities, supporting Sales and Product in pre-sales and discovery/scoping conversations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
– Partner with Sales to ensure a smooth post-sale handoff and shared alignment on goals and scope.
– Work closely with Product Development to translate client needs, confirm solution design, and share feedback to improve the product.
– Collaborate with Client Success to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to long-term support.
– Continuously improve internal onboarding methods and SOPs.
Requirements & Qualifications
– 3–5 years of experience in SaaS implementations, project management, consulting, or a related area.
– Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage relationships effectively.
– Proven ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
– Experience in working with colleges, universities, or the education sector is preferred, but not required.
– Proficiency in project management, including planning, timelines, issue tracking, and risk management.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.
– Strong problem-solving ability, including simplifying complex requirements.
– Ability to actively participate in and contribute to solution design discussions.
– Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines.
– Customer-first mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
– Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with product/engineering teams is a plus.
– Ability to influence and facilitate discussions to help drive decisions with clients and internal teams.
– Collaborative approach across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Client Success teams.
