OVERVIEW
This is an entry-level Korean Linguist position that offers you a great opportunity if you are a linguist enthusiastic to kick off your career in the Linguist and AI field. This role provides hands-on experience in working with language technologies and contributing to the development of AI systems for language applications in digital transformation and internet advertisement. We are looking for both part and full time roles.
As a Junior AI Linguist, you will assist in developing and maintaining language-based AI systems, particularly those related to Korean. You will work closely with linguists and senior linguists, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure the effective understanding and generation of human language by AI systems.
You will also use a unique web-based tool to evaluate search engine advertisements based on project guidelines, receiving professional development, and working on exciting projects that will empower you to keep learning and growing within a multicultural and international team with a great variety of documents and content types.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Annotation and Curation: Annotate and curate linguistic data in Korean to create training corpora for AI models. Assist in the development and maintenance of linguistic resources and datasets.
Linguistic Analysis: Conduct linguistic analysis of Korean text and speech data to identify patterns and characteristics. Collaborate in the design and implementation of language models for Korean.
NLP Algorithm Support: Assist in the development and fine-tuning of NLP algorithms specific to Korean, including sentiment analysis, text classification, and named entity recognition.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assessments to identify and report linguistic issues in AI systems. Help with error analysis and the implementation of improvements to enhance model performance.
Documentation: Document linguistic resources, model architectures, and data annotation guidelines. Maintain comprehensive records of linguistic tasks and findings.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in linguistics, Computation linguist or in a related field, or currently studying it.
- Bilingual-level in Korean.
- Strong cultural understanding of Korea.
- Basic understanding of linguistics principles, grammar, and syntax.
- Familiar with NLP tools and libraries is a plus.
- Some experience with programming languages such as Python would be ideal.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent online research skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eager to learn and adapt to a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
- Experience working as a linguist, translator, interpreter, or transcriptionist would be advantageous.
