We are looking for a MicroStrategy Specialist to support a critical data modernization initiative for a leading retail company. This role will be instrumental in analyzing, documenting, and migrating legacy MicroStrategy semantic models, reports, and cubes to a modern data platform built on Databricks, Power BI, and cloud-native technologies. The specialist will work closely with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to reverse-engineer complex BI assets, validate migration approaches, and ensure business continuity during the transition from MicroStrategy to modern analytics tools.

Must-Have Skills:

– 3–5+ years of hands-on experience developing and administering MicroStrategy platforms (MicroStrategy Developer, Architect, Web, or Workstation).

– Deep expertise in MicroStrategy semantic layer development: Attributes, facts, hierarchies, transformations, filters, metrics, and promptsIntelligent Cubes and in-memory architectureReport, dashboard, and document design.

– Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake, SCDs).

– Experience with data modeling and ability to translate complex business logic into technical specifications.

– Advanced English is essential.

Desired Qualifications:

– Experience with MicroStrategy Command Manager or automation tools for metadata extraction.

– Familiarity with modern BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

– Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake).

– Understanding of DataOps practices, including CI/CD, data quality frameworks, and observability.

– Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and cataloging solutions (Unity Catalog, Atlan, Collibra).

– Experience supporting large-scale BI migrations or platform modernization initiatives.

– Retail or e-commerce industry experience with customer analytics and operational reporting.
