What’s the opportunity?

    • We’re seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team in Malta. In this role, you’ll support the Internal Audit function by reviewing internal controls, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and help strengthen governance and operational excellence.
What will I be doing?

    • Perform internal audits across operational, financial, and compliance areas.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Support the creation, implementation, and tracking of the annual internal audit plan.
    • Produce clear, structured, and well-documented audit reports and communicate results to management.
    • Follow up on audit findings to confirm that corrective actions are implemented and validated.
    • Assist with SOX-related testing, control evaluations, and documentation when applicable.
    • Help with ad-hoc reviews, investigations, and special projects as needed.
    • Stay up to date on regulatory changes, audit standards, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Risk to strengthen internal controls and improve processes.
What skills do I need?

    • Professional experience in Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, or a related field; SOX experience is highly desirable
    • Knowledge of internal control frameworks, audit methods, and risk assessment practices.
    • Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a global setting.
    • Strong integrity, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
    • Soft skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Great attention to detail with a proactive, structured approach.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • A team player with strong collaboration skills.

    • Professional certifications or progress toward certifications (CIA, CISA, ACCA, etc.).
    • Knowledge of risk frameworks, SOX controls, or international regulatory environments.
