Overview
Are you a detail-focused professional with strong listening and transcription skills? Welo Data is launching a new project and is seeking experienced Transcribers to join our team. This remote role involves accurately converting audio into written text, while also enriching it with tags and timestamps to provide clear, meaningful context. If you care about language, cultural nuance, and precision, we’d be glad to hear from you.

What you will do:
– Listen to audio in the target language and produce accurate transcriptions.
– Add timestamps so the text stays synchronized with the audio.
– Tag recordings with emotions, context, and other relevant metadata to improve overall project quality.
– Ensure transcriptions are culturally appropriate and reflect the intended tone and meaning.
– Collaborate with the project team to maintain consistency and quality.
– Follow transcription instructions, formatting standards, and deadlines.

Project Details
Commitment: Flexible schedule, with a minimum of 10–15 hours per week (up to 20 hours depending on availability).
Job Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Requirements:
– Native-level or professional proficiency (C1/C2) in the target language, with strong English skills.
– Prior experience in transcription, translation, or related linguistic work is highly preferred.
– Ability to detect regional accents, emotional cues, and context within audio.
– Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
– Experience using transcription tools/software, including working with timestamps and tags.
– Ability to meet deadlines and deliver consistent, high-quality results.
