Kickstarter PBC is seeking a part-time independent contractor to help us support comics creators across the industry. We’re particularly interested in speaking to those with an in-depth knowledge of webcomics and manga, but we are also open to a more general or traditional comics specialist. This role is primarily scoped for approximately 25 hours per month for six months.
About the Team 2020 was a record-breaking year for Kickstarter Comics, with more than $25 million pledged to projects in the category. Our outreach team supports these projects with strategic guidance, creator resources, and internal and external promotion, helping comics writers and artists amass much-needed funds, raise their profile, and bring innovative and exciting comic books, graphic novels, art books, and other related projects to life.
About the Role Kickstarter’s Director of Publishing & Comics Outreach is seeking an experienced consultant with deep industry knowledge and contacts to help us build greater awareness of and excitement about our platform with existing communities of comics writers and readers.
