Data Annotation Project – Native Icelandic Speakers

We are looking for native Icelandic speakers to join our exciting data annotation project! This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to improving language technology while working remotely and flexibly.

Project Overview

As a participant, you’ll help ensure high-quality Icelandic language data by reviewing, correcting, and segmenting audio recordings. Your work will directly support the development of better speech recognition systems.

What you’ll do

• Audio-Text Verification

• Listen to Icelandic audio clips and check if they match the provided text.

• Correct any mismatches or transcription errors.

• Edit audio if there are mispronunciations or flaws.

• Sentence Segmentation

• Listen to real-life Icelandic conversations.

• Split the recordings into individual sentences using audio editing software.

What you’ll need

• Native Icelandic speaker (fluent in speaking, listening, reading, and writing).

• Good English proficiency to communicate with the project team.

Project Details

• Duration: September 8 – December 31, 2025

• Total Data Volume: 10 valid hours

• Daily Workload: 3–4 hours (flexible schedule)
