Working For the DeFi Protocol

As head of product, you will be responsible for turning the protocol into a leading decentralised credit facilitator; spearheading growth by both helping to construct and then directing the execution of an ambitious roadmap with highly differentiated features. You’ll work on making everything happen – juggling applications of your technical skills, business sense and creativity – while working hand-in-hand with talented founders, developers and designers to make sure that all parties are both in sync and executing on their tasks.

Responsibilities

• Product Strategy:

• Develop a mid-term product roadmap based on deep market understanding, user feedback and product vision.

• Propose/prioritise differentiated functionality leading to a larger-scale product vision.

• Roadmap Delivery:

• Coordinate a growing team of developers and designers to deliver against the defined roadmap.

• Specify product and feature requirements, manage development workstreams, communicate with developers and continuously test the product.

• Create and manage user-facing product documentation, in whatever format you deem most appropriate.

• Go To Market & Community:

• Align founders to define the best go-to-market strategy, alongside executing product marketing activities.

• Designing and executing experiments and tests to tailor product-market-fit to specific sectors and opportunities.

• Select strategic vendors and partnerships to help products grow faster.

• Closely engage with user communities via various channels.

Requirements

• Product management experience (or similar) within a high performing organisation that shipped good products; experience in a DeFi protocol or other crypto-native company is an advantage, and experience working in credit doubly so.
• Business-oriented mindset to construct and prioritise product roadmap based on concrete business needs and goals.
• Experience building complex products (or components thereof) from scratch.
• Technical background and ability to understand software: an understanding of smart contracts and common DeFi patterns is a significant advantage.
• Excellent problem solving skills – you should be able to think through solutions from first principles and find solutions.
• Excellent organisational skills – you are known for tracking tasks (big and small), making sure nothing falls between the cracks and everyone is kept in the loop.
• Entrepreneur/ownership mentality – thinking big, taking calculated risks, driven by market feedback, willingness to work extended hours and do whatever it takes.
